Last February, we had enough snow in our yard to build an igloo. There were a couple of failed attempts.
We learned from our mistakes and tried again, on a blue bird day.
It was hard work, scooping the snow into the mold, getting it to stick together while we continued spiraling upwards, the roof getting higher and higher. According to the instructions, if you build the igloo properly, it can support the weight of three grown men. We didn’t test that theory.
But we did curl up on the inside of it for a while and gave the neighbors tours of our new vacation home.
This year there hasn’t been enough snow to attempt another structure. Still holding out hope for a big blizzard.
